THE WOMEN WE SERVE

Strength Carried in Silence

Many women in Kilifi carry the responsibility of caring for their families while facing poverty, limited healthcare access, emotional stress, and untreated health conditions. Despite these challenges, they continue to care for their children, support their communities, and create hope for future generations.

SHE HAS NOT SEEN A DOCTOR

Years Without Answers

For years, this woman has lived with severe swelling in her legs without access to proper medical evaluation or treatment. What could be diagnosed and managed through modern healthcare services remains unanswered due to barriers in access and affordability.

Her story reflects the reality faced by many individuals living with untreated conditions that continue to worsen over time.

HE WAS INJURED BY AN ELEPHANT

A Father's Fight to Keep Going

After suffering injuries caused by an elephant encounter, this father faced physical pain while continuing to provide for and protect his children. Stories like his demonstrate how quickly a medical emergency can become a long-term burden when diagnostic care is difficult to access.

THE ONLY LATRINE SHE HAS

When Basic Sanitation Fails

For many families, access to safe sanitation remains a daily challenge. A damaged or unsafe latrine increases the risk of communicable diseases, threatens family health, and creates additional hardships for women and children.
